Stephen W. Hawking I think most people know him. The range of physics books he wrote provides something for everybody (If you like physics, of course).	Well, it is not a creative choice but the book is really good!
Isaac Asimov is my favourite science fiction writer. He has also written some books about physics (which I have not yet read). His knowledge gave his storys a "scientific" touch which I like very much.
Do you like criminal stories and don't know Agatha Christie? That's impossible, isn't it?
Need for fun? Then Ephraim Kishon could be your choice!
J. R. R. Tolkien I simply loved his books! The world he created is wonderful!
